We are experiencing an overcast day here in Wisconsin, with the exception of a brief appearance of the sun in the east at dawn. I quickly threw on some clothes and entered the yard which was a calm 5 degrees fahrenheit with the intention of documenting what I hope has been the last snow of the season...

| Sunrise in the east on February 27... beautiful but short lived as it soon clouded over |
| A lone hickory stands vigil over the February landscape |
| The old cheese factory has experienced 150 of these cold months of February |
| Cold damp air coats the twigs and branches with frost |
| The long winter is made acceptable by the garden views that surround us |
| Forms are defined by the tracery of snow on branches |
| And Jack Frost does his magic! |
| Snow nearly covers what would appear to be an historical rail fence.... |
| ... yet none of this was here a mere 25 years ago |
| It's hard to believe that in three weeks it will be one year since croci were in full bloom |
| It's also hard to believe that only a few days of March warmth could vanquish all of the snow |
This too shall pass! Larry
