This season, late July bloom equals that of a normal mid-August... it continues to be very much hotter and drier as we face another triple digit day in the gardens here at Oak Lawn. We are still waiting for one of these rainy days to land in our neighborhood.
It becomes harder to find color to share in the gardens, other than the annuals, but it's not an impossibility... here are today's offerings... Larry
Addendum: after skirting us for several days, we finally got 8/10 of an inch of rain around midnight last night... the world is definitely a brighter place this morning as it is amazing to see how the plants have responded to the "real thing" versus well water! L
