As we traveled about, it was interesting to note the color ranges of the different areas. Some were primarily yellow with touches of green still showing as in the photos taken along a road that bisects the Menomonee Reservation with little sign of the hand of man other than the rolling and curvy highway...
The early morning mist rising from the lake at our friend's home was entrancing, causing one to feel like we were far from the concerns of the real world...
One of our hikes took us to an area of old growth pines, a reminder of times past before the logging of such trees...
A fallen giant surrounded by the yellow fall foliage of wild ginseng, often poached for the $500 per pound of root it commands when taken illegally from public properties...
What better descriptor, than 'natural cathedral' on this last Sunday in September...
