The answer to that question is 'not so much'... perhaps a foot in the last couple days. The problem is that the gardens here at Oak Lawn have more than just their share of the snow... with 40-50 mph winds and open fields for two miles to the north, much of that snow is also parked in our gardens. I really don't have a problem with that except that many of the young trees that are wrapped against rabbit damage to a height of about three feet, are now buried in drifts to five feet or more, with tops exposed and a nice gentle slope for the rabbits to get to them. Since I'm not yet totally recovered with my slipped disk and respiratory infection, I guess I'll just have to take my chances. It was a work out just clearing the drive and walking through the drifts to get some pictures today.

I'm counting on not needing anything from the greenhouse in the next day or two! |

We won't be using the rockery path for awhile |

There is still a bit of fruit for the birds |

Thankfully it's still cozy inside

10:00 a.m. and no plow has been through the town road... (bigger fish to fry elsewhere I suspect)... my neighbor and I cleaned out enough of it for my wife to get to work on the county road |

A bit of a load on the conifers as well |

This is precisely the reason I built winter storm window covers for the gazebo |

Snow boarding anyone? |
It could be worse... I could be trying to drive to Dallas to watch the Super Bowl! Larry
