I am getting a sense that this may be a wonderful spring. While it has started a bit on the late side, it may well also be a very long spring. If the weather prognosticators are correct, we are in for a month or more of lower than normal temperatures and higher than normal moisture. This is not good news for the farmers that surround Oak Lawn, but it's wonderful news for the ornamental gardener.
Today's photos include more hellebores beginning with the wonderful Ivory Prince, the first blooms on the primulas, various other tidbits, and the beginning of our daffodil season. Finally I will share views of the greenhouse full of seedlings that hold the promise of the season to come...
More hellebores...
The start of the daffodils...
The first primula blooms...
Blood root...
Pulmonaria...
And the greenhouse, up and running since last weekend...
To close, Abutilon 'Tiger Eye' has been in bloom all winter with constant and numerous blossom production... and an unique bloom at that...
Thanks for visiting, Larry
