I find myself with a few available moments so will share a few more photos from the spring gardens. We will warm up to the 70's today but there are scattered showers all about. After lunch I'm looking forward to hosting a group of 'Red Hatters' for a garden tour and they are also interested in seeing my Tiffany reproductions. Here's hoping that the rain holds off! After today we are in for some cold (ish) and windy days in the 50's. We are hosting a large garden party several days from now and with the cool temps, I'm anticipating an amazing amount of bloom... perhaps peak spring bloom, at that time.
A great many daffodils are holding on, although some of the earliest that opened a month ago are fading... there is good overlap with the tulips this year...
The magnolia pictured here was a mis-labled soulangiana which bloomed for the first time last season... mind you, I'm not complaining! I love the blossom form and should do some research to try to identify the plant...
Magnolia kobus White Rose is getting large enough to make a small show for the first time... lovely scent on this one...
Here's a little show of Red Impression tulips that make a big 'impression' despite few in number...
Here is a magnolia hybridized, by my friend Dennis Ledvina, called Roseanne...
