... however, I'll stick with my tree peonies for today... I am particularly attached to the dark tree peony pictured above. It is Hesphestos and I started it from a graft. The color is spectacular and it rates as one of my favorites. I have several dark blooming examples but hesphestos is probably the best, if for no other reason, in the way it carries its blooms. I have misplaced most of the names of my other tree peonies, so will share a few photos without commentary.
Back to the gardens... the work is never done you know! Larry
