Original design... Hummingbirds & Mandevilla

Today I thought I'd share a few of the glass panels I've done over the years. Some are original designs and others not. Below are photos of the grape transom. The first gives a feel for the texture of the leading in the grape canes and the second shows it installed...

The following are adaptations of designs from GST using the their bevels... I prefer to use four blossoms in the calla bouquet rather than the two as in GST's design...

The following is a variation on a window by Tiffany Studios with a wisteria theme...

GST also offers a really nice hummingbird set of bevels that I have made up in their design several times... here are examples...

I also occasionally do what I call  'Glass Botanicals' of my own design and incorporating mortise and tenon frames that I also make...

The butterflies in the next photo were created by using an overlay technique with copper foil...

That's about it for today... I designed the piece below with two segments of church windows from a church that was being demolished... they held sentimental value for the client. I seldom do panels anymore as my lamp work takes up much of my studio time and I prefer doing lamps, especially the Tiffany Reproduction shades. Just a reminder that a number of the shades I've done can be seen by clicking on the badge with the lamp pictured, on the right side of this post.
