... are colors that I find very appealing in the garden... tones ranging from pinks to fuchsias but
not quite purples... here are some of my favorite things from the not so distant past...
A hardy pink hibiscus in bloom |
In bud |
Salmony pink impatiens with lilies |
The pinks found in Magnolia 'Leonard Messel' |
The very subtle pinks of Magnolia soulangiana 'Brozzonii |
'Pinky' from the Little Girls series... and a spider sat down beside her |
Epimedium 'Circe' like a convocation of brilliantly colored spiders |
And the "crowns" of Epimedium 'Princess Susan' |
Lilacs that change color from bud to floret... |
... billowing and frothy in full dress |
Tulips from lavender to pink |
The lavender pink of Primula kisoana |
Drifts of Phlox subulata blanketing embankments |
Baskets of petunias dancing on the breeze |
Masses of pea like pink blooms of Lathyrus vernus |
... and the delicate flowers of Cercis canadensis or redbud... shouldn't this be magenta pink bud? |
And at season's end, mums of all description |
These are but a few of my favorite things... Larry
