It all started yesterday around 10:00 a.m. and quickly looked like this...
By this morning it looked like this...
I was caught off guard last year with a similar situation... the hellebores ended up sprawling about the ground after a heavy snow. This year I pulled out about 40 flower pots and nursery containers before it snowed and covered the hellebores. I'll remove them once this amazingly heavy snow falls from the branches above the plants...
I'm not anticipating much damage to the daffodils as most are only budded at this point and seem to be standing well enough for the most part...
Yes... I know it should be spring... but there is no shortage of bloom inside and thousands of seedlings are growing and ready for the greenhouse... I ask you, what's a little snow?!
