| Asiatic lily Tango Graffiti |
On the other hand, Tango 'Burgundy Splash' isn't as impressive as it was in it's first season. I suspect that this is because they are planted in crevices in the rockery and need a bit more space and moisture. I'll move them this fall.
The only other asiatics making a show at this time are the melon colored ones next to the greenhouse...
Lilium cerneum are tiny for me with blooms at about one and a half inches in diameter. These also grow in the rockery and one bulb was a double last year, but that's not the case this season...
In closing, a thought concerning 'Betty Corning' clematis... she's a BIG girl! It's taken a few years to get here, but she is definitely taken over the path that she was planted by... time for a move I suspect...
... and lastly, the annuals are starting to fill out well... these are accent impatiens along the gazebo path. The hosta is a very old 'Francis Williams' that has a number of reversions... have a good day, Larry
