The temps don't say fall (it's 80 degrees plus) but the changes in the gardens do tell us that autumn is here.... for example... the asters are in full array...
The little 'Autumn Spire' maple has colored fully...
I couldn't resist bargain hunting for plants any longer (a sure sign of season's end)... I love this lovely little Coral Bark maple (Acer palmatum 'Sango Kaku')...
The mums are at peak bloom...
The Autumn Purple ash is ready to shed its foliage...
... and the summit ash aren't far behind...
While Acer griseum turns later, Acer palmatum 'Bloodgood' is more colorful than ever, having added an orange tint which shows itself when the light is just right.
Amelanchier canadensis is as attractive as I've ever seen it, as if to say, Autumn is a wonderful time of year... I hope you're enjoying it as well! Larry
