By the way... we got rain and it's still raining! Our last rain of any significance was May 2nd... I do think our drought is over as we have had almost non-stop rain for the past 48 hours... It has come in gentle waves with a total at this point of 3.2 inches... had this come all at once as in that May storm, much of it would have run off, so this is a definite Praise God!!
One other thing... I have been posting a huge number of my photos on my Pinterest site... eventually I hope to have the majority of my garden photography there... feel free to repin if you wish but please leave my blog signature on the photos.
Tulips and lily bulbs are arriving this week... could get interesting, but you won't hear me complaining. Our neighbor was down three feet with his backhoe and there was no moisture... it could rain for the next two weeks straight and it would be a good thing. We didn't always have it as dry as this year... these pictures are from June 12, 2008, when I was slightly concerned that our taxes might go up... I was starting to think we owned lake property after close to fourteen inches in three days or so.
