Lengthy road trips were a part of our lives for many years, until I hit a major health road block several years ago. I've been doing much better health-wise and we decided that this was the year to get back into the road trip mentality. Years ago we had passed through the Big Horn Mountains in Wyoming and always wanted to return to do some exploring... this was the time. Additionally, we spent some time on my buddy's ranch in Colorado, spent time with friends and family along the way, and drove over 3000 miles.
That said, we returned to some very dry and tired looking gardens. Since there isn't a lot to share in that respect just now, I'm going to post some of the highlights of our trip. I'll begin with Sioux Falls, South Dakota. I had been there a number of times in the past but had never seen Falls Park which is a wonderful place and obviously the reason for the city's name. It's amazing what one finds in "fly-over country" if the effort is made. Sioux Falls is a beautiful, vibrant, and growing city.
Another high point of our Sioux Falls visit was the city's SculptureWalk, created with the goal of making art available year round to the public.
All for now, Larry
