Living up to its name, my "Thanksgiving Cactus" is ready for our American Thanksgiving holiday. The truncata group of Schlumbergera have pointed segments and are sometimes referred to as 'crab cacti'. Pictured here, they bloom earlier than the Buckleyi group which have rounded segments and generally are in full bloom for Christmas, although I have a Christmas cactus that is over a hundred years old and blooms well from late November through April.
