Magnolias 'Galaxy' and 'Butterflies' |
I have been looking through lots of photos taken last spring and tucked away in iphoto. I will be sharing a few on occasion until real spring begins here in the'Frozen Tundra'
I have been posting commentary on Facebook with these photos much more than on my blog and have joined some garden groups there as well. I am enjoying these groups as well as my home page on FB because conversations between gardeners seem to be much more easily accomplished with lots of back and forth commentary compared to what goes on with my blog. I have been getting to know some great gardeners from around the world, but also close to home as well. Sure, lots of folks do a whole lot of 'likes' and stop at that, but others really get into what I would call some great discourse... gardening chat is fun at any time of the year but right now it's almost a life saver!!
As I pointed out previously. if you are interested in being a part of these conversations, feel free to friend me...https://www.facebook.com/larry.conrad.96

A touch of spring I'll welcome once again... |

This actual tulip has been blooming in the same spot for 25 years... one blossom each season.... unreal! |

Pinus mugo 'Tannenbaum' to the near right |

When the greens are right, it only takes a touch of color to complete the scene! |

Aesculus with a 'soupcon' of azalea... |

Peonies, conifers, and Siberian iris in late May of last season... |
The Wisconsin State Peony Society will be touring Oak Lawn in June... they are a super great bunch of people and I look forward to the visit. I have felt like I need to do even more with peonies than I do for some time... especially the newer, sturdier stemmed cultivars of herbaceous peonies...
All for now, Larry
