There are just a few gems amongst dried up leaves from last fall...

I don't recall ever having seen a spring this late in the past 43 years of gardening at Oak Lawn... a few early plants and bulbs are in bloom where the sun can reach them... on the other hand, I still have 100 hellebores that have yet to show any life... it starts to concern me as many of them are new last season and I'm hoping they haven't succumbed to all the moisture from last fall and this spring. Patience continues to be the necessary ingredient this year in the gardens... Larry
